Report Manager
All users can define their own reports, which can be printed from a PDF file or saved in Excel.
Security
The system’s security is guaranteed at several levels: user, user group and site. If the administrator keeps total control over users, each group can enjoy specific privileges and thus control the creation, modification, and deletion of its own information.
Grouping of projects
Various estimation groups can be created which improves the organization process and generates a faster reading of the estimations.
Access to documents
Being able to link files directly to a project allows for a quick and easy access to important documents— estimates, photos of construction sites.
Assistance for setting regional Windows parameters
Regional options — monetary symbols, number, date and time formats — configured in the operating system are applied to all values in ProjEst.
Administration tool
The administrator has an option to configure the information in a user’s account and in a group’s account and thus see the license information.
Saving
With an online save functions, ProjEst administrators can save databases even when estimators are using the software.

Client-server architecture
ProjEst is designed to take advantage of the latest Microsoft development tools— .NET and SQL Server — thus offering you state-of-the-art performance, function and adaptability.
Adapted to the Microsoft environment
ProjEst’s user interface complies with standards adopted by Microsoft for Windows. Therefore, users can operate in a familiar environment.
Centralized resources bank
Thanks to a centralized resources bank — equipment, labour, materials, team, typical cost, etc. —, estimators all work with data produced by the organization — standard costs, standard costs structures, etc.
Resources rate table
This option allows for the storing of an unlimited number of rates for equipment, labour, materials and other resources.
Detailed costs of equipment
The cost of equipment can be detailed according to other resources such as the cost for the operator, the fuel or any other resource.
Address book
Lists of clients, subcontractors, suppliers and engineers/architects help the management of the addresses of the businesses the company deals with.
Typical/Assembly costs
Such resources allow users to standardize costs, then to use them as they feel fit.
Indirect costs
Indirect costs can be calculated using all types of resources or based on direct costs. They can then be distributed into various categories.
Comparing costs
It is always possible to compare unit costs established with a subcontractor’s bid.
Interaction with subcontractors/suppliers
With this integrated ProjEst module, it is possible to perform a thorough analysis of subcontractors’ and suppliers’ bids, to automatically send them price inquiries via email or fax and, after carefully analyzing bids received, to select the lowest bidder — or to split the bids among many bidders in order to get the best price.
Unlimited costs structures
With ProjEst, it is possible to detail the cost of a project by splitting the costs into a lot of levels (items, typical cost, etc.).
Full drag-and-drop functionality within a project
Moving replacing and copying components within a hierarchical structure is as simple as dragging and dropping the object.
Full drag-and-drop functionality between projects
Components can be dragged and dropped between projects.
Notes
With ProjEst, some zones are especially made to take as many notes as desired anywhere in the project.
Managing requirements linked to minorities

Copying a project
Copying a project is as simple as copying and pasting from the list of projects.
Columns
ProjEst presents data in columns, which can be customized to be viewed, hidden, resized or sorted based on the needs of each user or time (bid closing, revisions, etc.).
Work breakdown structure (WBS)
A structure allows elements to be grouped by levels. Thus, it is possible to create an unlimited number of levels and each level can contain an unlimited number of elements. Each project can contain an unlimited number of WBS, ensuring costs are viewed according to the client’s or the company’s needs.
Changing costs quickly
From the resources manager, the cost of each resource used in the project can be changed in a block.
