LUQS Inc. was established in 1986 in Laval. The main objective consisted in integrating high technology to the construction market, more specifically, into estimation methods. The idea emerged at a time when estimation software were neither well known nor used in this sector of activity. Through the vision of the founder, an important opportunity to better the estimation procedures and hence, to increase the number of bidding successes, was identified and seized. LUQS Inc. has since continued to contribute to the continual betterment of estimation methods thereby rendering the work performed easier and more efficient.

We hold the advantage of having an engineering firm as a sister company thereby rooting our expertise in practical as well as theoretical knowledge. Our software born in the DOS environment consequently took a first turn in 1996: withholding its name, LUQS-Bid became the first integrated estimating and project management system developed in the Windows environment.
